We are here for you

The clinic provides full inpatient psychiatric care for the districts of Ammerland, Vechta, Oldenburg, Cloppenburg, Wittmund and Wesermarsch and the cities of
Delmenhorst and Oldenburg.
We work in the countryside just outside Oldenburg. Five of our six specialized clinics are located on a huge park area, along with the university medical center and outpatient clinics. In neighboring Westerstede, in addition to the sixth clinic, there is also our training center for health care professions, which we operate jointly with the Ammerland Clinic. In addition, there are decentralized day clinics. With this range of services, we ensure psychiatric care close to home for an entire region.

Our name bearer

KARL THEODOR JASPERS (1883 - 1969)

The native of Oldenburg and honorary citizen of the city was a psychiatrist and philosopher. He is one of the pioneers of a psychiatry that focuses on the human being. Before he became one of the most important German-speaking philosophers of the last century as an outstanding representative of the so-called existential philosophy, he worked as a psychiatrist and conducted research at the University of Heidelberg. His habilitation thesis "General Psychopathology" is still considered a standard scientific work today.
